Length is the defining feature, with the front panels running well past the hip and the hem falling toward the calf. It has no collar and no closure, so the two edges simply hang straight down and frame whatever is worn underneath. Deep slits are cut into each side seam from the hip down, which lets the cardigan move and keeps it from pulling across the front when walking. The knit is a textured square grid stitch that gives the surface a waffled relief, and ribbed cuffs finish sleeves that are cut long and easy through the arm.
