The collar is a low mock neck, standing just high enough to cover the base of the throat without folding over. Three generous gold tone buttons sit in a row on one shoulder, part decoration and part structure, breaking up the plain knit face. A band of rib crosses the body on the diagonal, and the hem follows that angle down to a point on one side so the bottom edge is deliberately uneven. Sleeves are cut full through the upper arm with a soft puff at the shoulder before narrowing into ribbed cuffs, and the whole body is sized to sit loose.
