Loosen the tie and the shaft relaxes. The toe is round, the upper is supple enough to move with the leg all the way up, and the heel is a low built-in wedge, which means the lift is inside the sole rather than under a visible heel. A thin rubber outsole underneath keeps the profile low and the step quiet.
