Crocodile-textured faux leather with a glossy finish covers this mid-calf boot, and the texture catches light differently along the shaft than it does over the toe. Lacing runs up the front through metal eyelets, so you can tighten the instep or leave it loose, while a side zipper does the actual work of getting in and out. The toe is round and the heel is a tall block sitting over a half platform at the front, which takes a good part of the height back out of the step. Under everything is a lug rubber outsole with deep tread, so the boot feels planted rather than tippy.
