From there the shoulder seam drops low and the sleeve opens into a deep batwing that runs long and full to the wrist. Soft rib gives the whole piece a vertical line and a loose, fluid hand, so it falls without holding structure. The hem is cut on an angle, longer at one side than the other, which keeps the bottom edge moving and stops the loose body from reading as a plain square block of knit.
